I’ve known her long enough to say she’s a certified, uncommon beauty and the essence of a modern-day Queen we need to converse with.
This small book is filled to the brim with necessity and her elixir is in her words. Because of some of the things that we deal with daily, such as the duality of advancement, entrepreneurial stewardship and being exposed to America while black, we need something that’s speaking to the King in us and not the Negus, Negro, Nigga, African-American or the vast things that cut us down. It is not only beautiful but harrowing to hear someone telling the King to come in from the front door, don’t walk away or out on your purpose and light. I read this book just once and I felt like someone was not bullshitting me and telling me something to make me feel good, but rather speaking to my essence and soul and encouraging me to stand strong, stand erect, stand present, and she will speak to the king in me.
